Not all is lost yet....

In other words, a brief look at the future of GRCRT, the decisions we took and the reasons for them.

After announcing the closure of the project, we were flooded with questions, takeover offers, offers to buy and your financial mobilisation took us completely by surprise. The majority of takeover "offers" were in a form of a question "how much will you sell for", which we felt did not bode well - how can someone be wanting to buy something without even being interested in how it works, what skills are needed to run it, etc. Almost as frequently as purchase requests, there were questions about whether we would "stay" if there was funding. We held off answering for a long time because we didn't want to hastily declare anything. We needed to give ourselves some time to take a step back, look at it again, calmly, from a different perspective and calculate whether it was bearable for us. It's been (more than) six months, during which we've made some changes to the server infrastructure and observed.

At present, we can say (still cautiously, with some reserve) that if your support continues at the current level, the future of the GRCRT project is looking sufficiently stable so that we have decided to 'pause the execution' of the octopus and stay with you! For as long as your support allows us to keep the servers running, we will stay with you. However, as we don't want to once again raise the alarm in such a drastic way as we have done now, all we ask is that you check our donation sub-page regularly, where we will alert you if things start to get hectic again.

Once again, to each and every one of you who has been part of this multi-year journey, we would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation. Your support, whether through financial contributions, bug reports or simply playing or talking together, has made an immeasurable difference.

We wish you success in your conquests, and we will do our best to keep the octopus fighting by your side.

GRCRTools – what is this?

One time it used to be just a report converter, known as Grepolis Report Converter. Now it's not only a converter, but also a mighty tool called Grepolis Report Converter Revolution Tools, which improves the gameplay to such an extent, that nowadays many players can't imagine the game without it.

It converts the text to BBCode, which can be placed in the in-game mails, on the alliance forum and the general forum.

What does it convert?

  • a list of the cities on the island,
  • a list of the players in an alliance,
  • army movements,
  • individual orders (in case of an incoming attack, the units revealed by the spell "Wisdom" are included),
  • and more...
